As a critical team member, you’ll supervise shift operations of the 260-megawatt facility, reporting directly to the Chief Engineer. Key responsibilities include maintaining HRSG, overseeing pressure equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Your proactive approach will help improve plant efficiency and safety while providing direction to assistant engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee plant operations and maintain shift logs
• Supervise assistant engineers and issue work permits
• Operate turbines and BOP using Ovation DCS technology
• Implement emergency response and safety policies
• Recommend plant improvements for efficiency and reliability
Requirements:
• Valid 2nd Class Power Engineer license in Saskatchewan
• Experience in powerplant or large industrial settings
• Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities
• Familiarity with DCS systems and preventative maintenance
• Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed
