Become a vital member of Air Products as an Operations Technician (2nd Class Power Engineer) at the Scotford facility, focusing on hydrogen production. Your responsibilities will involve ensuring safe and optimized operations while utilizing your engineering skills.
As you report to the Chief Power Engineer/Site Supervisor, your role will involve controlling production processes and liaising with maintenance teams. Your expertise will support the operational efficiency and reliability of our production assets while observing stringent safety measures in an industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and control hydrogen production processes
• Operate steam systems, compressors, and rotating equipment
• Conduct inspections and field readings regularly
• Facilitate plant turnaround activities effectively
• Draft and update operating and safety documentation
Requirements:
• Valid Second Class Power Engineering Certificate
• 5+ years of relevant plant operations experience
• Prior experience in industrial process operations preferred
• Solid communication and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiarity with SAP
