Support student well-being at John Knox Christian School as a part time School Counsellor. Use your expertise in counselling psychology to help students navigate emotional challenges.
This role is open to candidates with a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology and a Registered Clinical Counsellor designation. You will provide individual and group counselling, develop Individual Education Plans, and collaborate with teachers and parents to promote student success. Build connections to community support services and assist students with personal planning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individual and small-group counselling sessions
• Deliver trauma-informed and culturally responsive interventions
• Collaborate with educators and families to enhance student well-being
• Participate in developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology
• Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) or Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Minimum one year of experience working with children
• Team-oriented approach in school settings
