Join the Durham Community Health Centre as a Community Health Promoter on a temporary full time basis. Focus on health promotion and equity for underserved populations in Oshawa and Pickering.

In this vital role, you’ll collaborate with internal teams and community partners to deliver programs aimed at improving public health outcomes. Your responsibilities will include designing educational initiatives and facilitating community engagement activities. Strong advocacy for equitable health policies will be essential to your success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess community health needs in partnership with local groups
• Implement health education and prevention programs
• Facilitate community events and workshops




• Monitor and report on program effectiveness
• Collaborate on strategic initiatives to reduce health disparities

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in health-related fields
• At least three years of relevant experience
• Background in community organizing and education
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Valid driver's license and full COVID-19 vaccination
