Join the City of Victoria as a Community Liaison for Emergency Management, focusing on education and engagement with residents and businesses. This full time, hybrid position offers a chance to make a difference in community preparedness.
In this key role, you will report to the Emergency Program Coordinator and engage with various community stakeholders. Your responsibilities include developing and delivering emergency preparedness training, managing public education initiatives, and providing administrative support to the Emergency Management Division. You will help enhance emergency readiness across Victoria while collaborating with city departments and external organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate community emergency preparedness education
• Liaise with governmental and non-governmental agencies
• Develop public education materials and messaging
• Respond to inquiries regarding emergency management
• Maintain inventory and administrative records
Requirements:
• Certificate in Emergency Management or related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to build effective relationships within the community
