Shape the future of spiritual care as a Spiritual Health Practitioner I at U of A Hospital, where your compassion and expertise will guide families and patients in spiritual health journeys. This role requires tailored assessments across diverse cultural beliefs.

In this position, you will respond to the spiritual health needs of families, patients, and staff, using evidence-based practices. Your proficiency in spiritual care interventions—like counseling and end-of-life support—will help create a nurturing workplace. Working intimately with the interdisciplinary team, you’ll also facilitate group therapy sessions to mitigate spiritual distress and support organizational well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct spiritual assessments and interventions




• Facilitate group therapy for emotional support
• Provide tailored spiritual care to patients and families
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals
• Enhance staff and volunteer spiritual resilience

Requirements:
• Master’s degree in theology or a related field
• Required hospital-based acute care experience
• CPE training completion with CASC/ACSS
• Commitment to achieving certification with CASC/ACSS
• Preferred advanced CPE unit completion
