• Serve as the dedicated HRBP for EPDD managers and senior managers
• Build proactive relationships with technical leaders
• Coach leaders through performance conversations, complex employee-relations cases, and difficult people decisions
• Partner on organizational health using data to identify patterns and anticipate friction
• Support performance management cycles, including feedback, documentation, PIPs, and exits
• Provide employee lifecycle support and guidance to team members
• Act as subject matter expert on Canadian employment law and market practices
• Identify, build, and deliver impactful talent programs
• Use AI to automate, build, and streamline HR workflows
Requirements 4–7 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 1 year in a true HRBP role
Direct experience supporting EPDD or R&D; teams is a major plus
Experience shaping business decisions through pattern recognition, data, insights, instincts, and influence
Proven experience managing leave programs and immigration cases
Experience building or improving a workflow with AI and measuring its impact
Robust Canadian and US employment law knowledge
HRIS experience; Rippling preferred
Toronto-based and energized by in-person collaboration
