IT Business Analyst Level 1 - Video Learning

Pay Rate: $40.70 - $49.50/hour, depending on experience

Contract Length: 14 weeks

Location: Burnaby, British Columbia (Hybrid)

Raise is currently hiring an IT Business Analyst Level 1 - Video Learning on behalf of our client. They're expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description
We are currently hiring an IT Business Analyst Level 1 - Video Learning to support a team focused on technology adoption, AI-enabled learning, and employee engagement.

In this role, you will help create compelling videos and AI-enabled learning experiences that help employees understand, adopt, and maximize current technologies.

You will transform ideas around AI and emerging technologies into engaging content that accelerates business value and user adoption.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Business Analyst with strong communication and documentation skills who also has hands-on video creation experience, general knowledge of AI, and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-changing technology environment.

Responsibilities

Gather, document, validate, and manage business requirements for small IT projects.

Produce high-quality documentation, including business requirements, process maps, governance documents, process impact assessments, functional and non-functional requirements, data requirements, business scenarios, and use cases.

Liaise with internal teams, external stakeholders, and vendors regarding data migration, system interfaces, and other technology-related activities.

Facilitate stakeholder reviews, approvals,



and sign-offs to ensure requirements and deliverables are clearly understood.

Assist with testing activities, including the preparation of test plans, test scenarios, test scripts, and test reports.Provide ongoing clarification and support to user experience, development, training, and testing teams.

Assist with project planning and coordination activities across various project phases.

Support change management and training activities, including stakeholder analysis, communications, training, and rollout planning.

Document meeting outcomes, decisions, and action items to support timely completion of project tasks.

Create engaging video content and AI-enabled learning materials to support technology adoption.

Translate complex technology and AI concepts into clear, accessible content for employees and end-users.

Stay current with emerging AI tools and technologies and adapt content and approaches as the technology landscape evolves.

Qualifications

2 years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting small to medium-sized technology-related projects in a complex enterprise environment, or equivalent experience.

Video creation experience is mandatory.

General knowledge and understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies.

Strong business analysis, requirements gathering, documentation, and process analysis skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong coordination, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.





Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly in a fast-changing technology environment.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Good understanding of business processes and how business objectives can be achieved through technology solutions.

Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Experience in the public sector or utilities industry is considered an asset.

Familiarity with enterprise technology environments and structured project delivery methodologies is an asset.

Knowledge of AI tools, digital learning platforms, video production, or technology adoption initiatives is an asset.

Education and Certifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Additional Information
Hybrid work arrangement with 2 mandatory days in the office per week.
