Become a Repair Technician with the Kitchener-Waterloo Library of Things. This position is ideal for those passionate about community repair events and sustainability through shared resources.

Extend-A-Family Waterloo Region is looking for a Junior Repair Technician who enjoys fixing items. You will work closely with community members to help repair their possessions and share knowledge through workshops. This role not only addresses malfunctioning items but also promotes a sense of belonging and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
• Repair a variety of common household items and appliances
• Assist community members during repair cafés and fix-it days
• Diagnose technical faults and provide practical solutions
• Support administrative tasks and logistics of repair events
• Train members in effective repair techniques and safety

Requirements:
• Lived experience of disability
• Proven experience in repairing common items
• Excellent attention to detail and communication
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• High school diploma or equivalent
