Our client in Orangeville, is seeking a motivated, self-starter to join their team as a CNC Operator/Robot Technician in their department. This position is responsible for the setup and operation of CNC machines and processes in a plastic manufacturing environment. The role also includes maintaining and operating robot cells.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Utilize CNC equipment to cut, trim, slot, chamber, profile, and shape materials.
- Pull up programs and make minor adjustments as needed.
- Install machine accessories such as pins, cutting tools, templates, and spoil boards.
- Experience with robot cells in a manufacturing environment.
- Consistently follow standards, rules, policies, work instructions, and directions.
- Operate handheld tools and measuring equipment.
- Maintain composure under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Work effectively in a team-based workplace.
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical skills.
- Good visual/color vision and eye/hand coordination.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Above-average attendance record.
- Previous experience operating CNC equipment and the ability to read blueprints and diagrams.
- Certified forklift operation.
Shifts:
- 12-hour continental day/night shift, with a 4-week turnaround.
- Averaging agreements in place.
- 84 hours biweekly with opportunities for overtime.
Rate of Pay:
The rate of pay will vary depending on knowledge, skills, abilities, experiences, and educational background, ranging from $20.00 to $24.82.
