Job Duties
1.
Through lectures, seminars, and/or labs, provide didactic and clinical instruction and assessment of performance in the Dental Hygiene program.
2. Supervise and evaluate students in clinical settings.
3. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of current dental hygiene principles, procedures and techniques and the principles of adult education.
4. Develop and maintain course curriculum.
5. Conduct various aspects of program administration as required.
6. Provide dental hygiene services as required.
7. Provide instructional support to Dental Assisting Program when required.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)
1. Graduate of a Dental Hygiene Program and related baccalaureate degree (or be working toward completion of a related degree).
2. Minimum of two years recent and relevant dental hygiene experience in a dental office utilizing current dental hygiene principles, procedures and techniques.
3. Eligible for registration and licensure as a dental hygienist in Saskatchewan.
4. Training in educational theory and methodology.
5. Effective communication skills.
6. Effective instructional ability.
7. Effective interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing setting
9. Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software and ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
10. Demonstrates valuing diversity.
