The Paint Technician is responsible for performing high-quality automotive refinishing work. This role ensures each vehicle receives precise color matching, proper surface preparation, and professional finish application. The Paint Technician works closely with prep staff, body technicians, and production teams to maintain productive workflows and deliver exceptional results that support customer satisfaction and safety. Responsibilities and Qualifications: Key Responsibilities • Apply basecoat, clearcoat, primers, and other refinishing materials following OEM approved procedures. • Perform color matching and blending to meet exact OEM specifications. • Inspect pre-paint surfaces for repair quality and ensure all panels are properly prepared for refinishing. • Mix paint materials using OEM paint systems and maintain accurate color formulas. • Operate spray booths, paint guns, and related equipment safely and efficiently. • Conduct final finishing work including polishing,
buffing, and correcting minor imperfections. • Protect nonpainted vehicle surfaces through proper masking and containment techniques. • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment, including equipment cleaning and booth maintenance. Qualifications • 2–5+ years of collision painting experience in a body shop or OEM certified environment preferred. • Strong knowledge of automotive refinishing processes, color matching, blending, and modern paint systems. • Experience operating spray booths, refinishing tools, and surface prep equipment. • High attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality finishes consistently. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Salary is depends on Experience $25 - 35 per hour. Open for overtime.
