Job title: Harvesting Labourer NOC: 85101 Number of positions: 20 Employment type: Seasonal, full time Employment period: February 23 to November 30, 2027 Hours: 54 hours per week Schedule: Day, early morning, evening, weekend and holiday work may be required depending on weather, crop conditions and harvest schedules. Wage: $17.95 per hour Overtime: Paid when required by applicable Ontario employment standards. Raises, bonuses or performance pay: None Benefits: No additional benefits JOB DUTIES * Harvest fruits and vegetables by hand according to crop maturity and quality standards. * Pick, sort, grade and pack produce. * Load, unload and transport harvested crops, containers and farm supplies. * Clean produce and prepare it for storage, packing and market * Remove damaged or poor-quality produce. * Operate basic harvesting tools and equipment safely. * Clean work areas, harvesting containers and farm equipment. * Assist with general crop maintenance, including weeding, thinning and removing debris when required. * Follow food-safety, biosecurity and workplace health-and-safety procedures. * Report crop damage, pests, disease or quality concerns to the supervisor.



* Perform other harvesting-related duties as assigned. WORK CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, humidity and direct sunlight. * The position is physically demanding and involves standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling and repetitive movements for extended periods. * Must be able to handle loads weighing up to 50 LB. * Must be willing and able to work in dusty, wet, muddy and noisy conditions. * Work pace may be fast during peak harvesting periods. * Reliable attendance and the ability to follow instructions are required. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required. Experience: Previous farm experience an asset but not required; training will be provided. Language: English or French Other requirements: * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Ability to distinguish produce that meets established quality standards. * Dependable, punctual and able to perform repetitive physical work safely. * Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
