ARAMARK is Hiring a Pastry Chef for the Manic-5 Site

Position: Pastry Chef

Location: Manic-5

Salary: $26.26/hour, with annual increases based on union negotiations.
Overtime is paid at time-and-a-half.

Schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off rotation

Employees are provided with:

Candidates must reside in the Baie-Comeau area or be able to travel to the Baie-Comeau airport.

Job Responsibilities

Serve meals to Hydro-Québec employees at Manic-5 and participate in and support kitchen operations.
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastry products, including cookies, pies, pastries, and other baked goods.
Cook and prepare food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
Set up workstations with all required ingredients and equipment.
Prepare recipes and special orders.
Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, etc.
Bake pre-prepared products.
Apply icing and decorate pastries.




Assist with overall kitchen operations as required.

Qualifications
A Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or both is preferred.
Must be proficient in preparing and baking both traditional and contemporary pastries.
Strong culinary skills are considered an asset.
MAPAQ certification.
Ability to support operational requirements.
Participate in kitchen cleaning and other duties related to the position.
Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety programs.
