Honorarium Position

Overview

The Equity Commission is now hiring Research and Recommendation Co-chairs! Research and Recommendation’s mandate is to conduct research on the year's topical issue and assist in drafting recommendations on behalf of ASUS. These topics can include but are not limited to privilege, gender identification, patriarchy, sexual orientation, sexual assault, disability, mental health, culture, ethnicity, race and religion. This year, the Research and Recommendation Co-Chairs will work together to hire committee members and work collaboratively to create an Equity Strategic Plan, which will amalgamate previous years’ research into a single, intersectional document.

Application Deadline

Applications are due by March 30th, 2025 at 5PM EST.

Time Commitment and Remuneration

Term : May 1st, 2025 – April 30th, 2026

Hours : 2-3 hours per week

Honorarium : Awarded based on the Honorarium Grid in the Human Resources Policy ( Click here )

Duties and Responsibilities

- Attend committee meetings and events
- Analyze the data provided by research coordinators
- Compare and contrast findings (compare how things have evolved or diminished over the years)
- Analyze and collect final data from surveys
- Produce summaries based on the research provided
- Organize data and headings for the report
- Aid Co-Chairs in the final production and selection of the data to be included
- Deduct conclusions and recommendations from the research provided
