The Assembly Speaker is responsible for managing the flow of ASUS Assembly meetings, ensuring adherence to protocols, and fostering equitable participation. They collaborate closely with the Governance Officer to stay informed on agendas and policy updates. The Speaker must maintain a solid understanding of ASUS policies to effectively moderate discussions and enforce meeting rules. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills to ensure smooth and productive Assembly meetings.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Moderate ASUS Assembly meetings and facilitate debates.
- Ensure adherence to meeting protocols and the ASUS Assembly Rules of Order.
- Collaborate with the Governance Officer on agendas and policy updates.
- Assist with meeting setup and takedown as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of ASUS policies to effectively fulfill the role.
