Become a Youth Worker at Communitas, providing essential care for children and youth with behavioral challenges in our supportive group home. We’re offering both full-time and casual positions that include extensive on-the-job training.
As a Child and Youth Care Worker, you will engage children and youth through diverse living and social activities that support their behavioral development. A relevant human/social services diploma is preferred, and we value creativity and initiative in our team members. Your role will significantly impact their social, mental, and emotional growth, working collaboratively with a dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support daily living and social skills for children/youth
• Implement engaging recreational activities and programs




• Foster positive relationships through teamwork and communication
• Document behavioral indicators and provide feedback to the team
• Participate actively in community-based activities
Requirements:
• Relevant diploma in human/social services or significant experience
• Child and Youth Care Worker Diploma preferred
• Valid Emergency First Aid Certificate with CPR
• Class 5 BC driver’s license ideal
• Robust problem-solving and teamwork abilities
