WHAT WE’R LOOKING FOR The
Sr. Demand Planner
will support our
Direct-to-Consumer (DTC)
sales growth by developing the
sales forecast
for all brands sold through
DTC , to promote product availability at the right time and the right point in the supply network. They will also oversee the
forecasting
of DECIEM's growing and expanding
Incubator Brands
for
DTC .
The Sr. Demand Planner will champion the monthly
consensus cycle
with the objective of creating a
rolling consensus forecast
that meets or exceeds our key performance metric of
Forecast Accuracy . Will look at
POS
&
shipment trends ,
seasonality ,
future promotion plan ,
expansion ,
new product launch ,
cannibalization , and
delists , collaborating with key stakeholders to align on a
consensus forecast .
This position is
full-time
and
permanent
based out of our
Head Office
located in
Liberty Village, Toronto
and offers candidates a
hybrid
work schedule.
PAY RANGE The anticipated base salary for this position is $80,000 to $88,000.
Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
Develop item-market level forecast for Direct to Consumer channels, including TikTok, Brand.com, and Free Standing Store (FSS). The Demand Planner will use historical sales data and intelligence from Customer, Partnership, and Marketing to establish baseline sales, and additional building blocks such as promotions, marketing initiatives and activations, market trends, and social media driven trends, while managing the forecast against business sales targets.
Forecast New Product Launches, reformulations,
and product size extensions with close collaboration with Brand, Partnership and Sales Strategy. Partner with Supply Chain to understand inventory levels, lead time, and allocation priorities that may impact the forecast, while helping to ensure high fill rates and maintain target inventory.
Utilize history cleansing & standard statistical modeling techniques to generate the baseline statistical forecast where possible, with value-added adjustments to be made.
Identify process improvement opportunities and present them to management with recommendations and alternatives.
Work closely with the Incubator teams for Avestan, Loopha, Hand Chemistry and other new innovation brands, to develop forecasts for new product launches, communicate forecast changes to Supply teams, and ensure forecast accuracy targets are met.
Perform ongoing analysis and monitoring of Incubator product sell-through trends, upcoming promotions, and seasonal trends to develop the SKU level forecast.
Facilitate monthly consensus cycle meetings with cross functional teams consisting of Partnership, Finance and Marketing, clearly communicating the drivers of actual sales as compared to the forecast, changes to the forecast from a units and dollars perspectives, and variances between the forecast and financial targets.
Quantify and communicate risks & opportunities to the demand plan.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE
Minimum 5 years of experience with forecasting, S&OP;, and inventory management
1-2 years of supervisory experience with leadership potential is an asset
Certifications such as IBF CPF, APICS CPIM preferred
Experience with Forecast & Replenishment Applications
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
