As a Health and Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for expanding and continuously improving the safety culture at PTI Transformers by maintaining the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Management Systems for PTI Regina's multiple manufacturing locations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- 1. Maintain Certificate of Recognition (COR) and obtain other certifications.
- 2. Participate in and contribute to the Occupational Health & Safety Committee.
- 3. Maintain Safety Data Sheets through Velocity.
- 4. Conduct regular inspections and audits of the workplace to identify hazards and assess risks in all departments and locations.
- 5. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses/hazards/concerns to determine root causes and recommend preventative measures.
- 6. Provide training, education, and safety specific employee activities.
- 7.



Perform a variety of administrative tasks related to the maintenance and upkeep of the Safety Management System and documentation.
- 8. Performing other duties as allocated.

Requirements

- 1. Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety combined with formal training and/or work experience in related field.
- 2. 1-3 years of experience in a Health and Safety role.
- 3. Completion of ISO internal audit training is an asset.
- 4. Experience with performing audits and writing reports.
- 5. Ability to communicate and engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- 6. Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check for the duration of employment.
