The City of Delta is seeking a dedicated Facility Service Worker to support recreational and civic facility operations throughout North Delta, Ladner, and Tsawwassen. This regular full time position covers a range of essential services from maintenance to safety inspections.
As a Facility Service Worker, your key efforts will focus on ensuring proper maintenance of swimming pools, ice-making, and building systems while leading staff and contractors in daily operations. Your skills will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of municipal facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform necessary repairs and operational maintenance
• Inspect facilities and oversee janitorial tasks
• Supervise and schedule team activities




• Train staff in operational procedures
• Maintain and develop preventive schedules for equipment
Requirements:
• Pool Operator Certificate – Level II
• Refrigeration Operator Certificate or equivalent
• Fifth-Class Power Engineer Certificate
• Valid Class 5 driver's license in British Columbia
• Experience in managing maintenance operations and contractor relations
