The Government of Nova Scotia seeks a Regional Environment Engineer to support initiatives aimed at climate change adaptation and environmental protection. This term position is critical for overseeing environmental health across the region.
As part of the Department of Environment and Climate Change, you'll engage with various stakeholders to facilitate projects ranging from water management to waste disposal systems. The role requires advanced technical knowledge combined with strong collaboration and communication skills to execute in office evaluations and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze engineering reports for environmental approvals
• Draft and enforce terms for environmental projects
• Assess design and suitability for waste management systems




• Review data for compliance with departmental legislation
• Lead and coordinate special projects as needed
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 6 years related experience
• Registration as Licensed to Practice in Nova Scotia
• Experience in environmental health and engineering processes
• Proficient in project management and stakeholder engagement
• Valid driver’s license for travel requirements
