Role Description The Early Childhood Educator is a full-time, on-site role located in Edmonton, AB. This position is responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development for children in both kinder and out-of-school care programs. Day-to-day tasks include supervising children to ensure safety, guiding positive behaviors, facilitating play-based learning, and supporting routines such as meals, transitions, and outdoor play. The educator will collaborate with colleagues, communicate regularly with families,



maintain organized and clean learning spaces, and document observations to support developmental progress. The role also involves following program policies, supporting inclusive practices, and participating in ongoing career development.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and experience Working With Children.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Early Childhood Development and practice developmentally appropriate programming.
- Candidates should possess Creativity Skills to design engaging, play-based and educational activities.
- Candidates should possess Organization Skills to manage schedules, materials, documentation, and classroom routines.
- Relevant certification or diploma in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent) is required.
- Current first aid/CPR certification and a clear background or vulnerable sector check are required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and team members, and to support an inclusive and respectful environment.
