This job posting is for a current vacancy with our client.

Our client, a leading professional association, is seeking an Instructional Designer to join their Learning & Professional Development team. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced learning professional who enjoys combining instructional design, eLearning development, and LMS expertise to create engaging and effective learning experiences.

This is a hands-on role focused on designing and enhancing online, blended, and instructor-led learning programs while supporting the organization's Learning Management System (LMS). The successful candidate will work closely with internal learning teams, instructors, learners, and external vendors to continuously improve course content, assessments, and the overall learner experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, update, and maintain online, blended, and instructor-led learning programs.
- Develop and enhance eLearning modules, assessments, facilitator guides, participant materials, activities, and other learning assets.
- Manage and maintain learning content and assessments within the LMS.
- Troubleshoot LMS and assessment issues and provide second-level support to instructors and learners.
- Review learner feedback and course evaluations to identify opportunities for content and platform improvements.
- Apply adult learning principles, accessibility standards, instructional design best practices, and emerging learning technologies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support ongoing learning and LMS enhancements.

What They're Looking For





- Post-secondary education in Adult Education, Instructional Design, Learning Technology, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in instructional design, learning experience design, educational technology, or corporate learning.
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS); D2L Brightspace experience is a strong asset.
- Experience with eLearning authoring tools and developing engaging, interactive learning experiences.
- Experience designing and developing online, blended, and instructor-led learning programs.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.
- Excellent project management, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Non-Negotiables

- Demonstrated instructional design education and hands-on experience.
- Experience using different eLearning authoring tools.
- Strong LMS experience.
- Experience designing and developing online, blended, and instructor-led learning programs.
- Comfortable working within a hybrid model in Toronto, with Mondays and Wednesdays as core in-office days plus one additional permanent in-office day.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Nice to Have

- D2L Brightspace experience.
- Experience supporting online learning environments with a large volume of learners.
- Experience within a not-for-profit or professional association setting.
- Bilingual English/French.
