Summary Providence Health Care is embarking on an exciting journey to open the new St. Paul’s Hospital in 2027. Located on the Jim Pattison Medical Campus in Vancouver’s False Creek Flats, this state-of-the-art facility will provide integrated, compassionate care across various specialties, including heart and lung, HIV/AIDS, mental health, emergency, critical care, Indigenous health, kidney care, seniors care, and surgical specialties. The hospital will feature single patient rooms, advanced technologies, and a campus designed with wellness and sustainability in mind. We are seeking skilled and dedicated trades professionals to join our Facilities Maintenance team in preparation for the opening of the new St. Paul’s Hospital. We welcome applications from:

Power Engineers

These onsite positions support the maintenance, repair, and safe operation of critical systems across our healthcare facilities. Our environment emphasizes compassion, innovation, and social justice—guiding our commitment to exceptional care in alignment with Indigenous reconciliation efforts.

What You Bring Education

Certificate of Apprenticeship or Trades Qualification Certificate as a journeyman recognized by the Province of British Columbia.

From hospital care to primary and community health solutions, the current St. Paul’s Hospital and health campus will continue to lead innovations in care, research, and teaching. The new St. Paul’s Hospital is expected to open in 2027.

About our Facilities, Maintenance and Operations (FMO) Team: Our FMO team at Providence Health Care plays a critical behind‑the‑scenes role in keeping hospital environments safe, reliable, and fully operational. The team maintains complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life‑safety systems that support patient care every hour of every day. By ensuring the physical infrastructure is compliant, resilient, and ready, FMO allows clinical teams to focus entirely on patients.
