Base pay range

$110,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr

On behalf of our FI client, we are seeking a Regulatory Business Analyst that has knowledge and experience with some of the following regulators and regulations (ideally helped implement them):

- Regulators: CFTC, SEC, ESMA, FCA, HKMA, BOI, CSA, CIRO
- Regulations: MIFID, EMIR, CFTC, SEC, SFTR, MTRS, AMF/OSC

The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable with rules, who likes digging, with a high level of attention to details and rigor in their work method.

Responsibilities

- Be able to work with all systems delivery framework including agile, hybrid and waterfall
- Work with product owners to capture business requirements and document them using standard documentation templates
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, document, and analyze business requirements
- Develop and document business process models to illustrate current and future state
- Conduct detailed business process analysis and develop comprehensive process flow diagrams, user stories, functional specification documents, and use cases to facilitate system design and development
- Obtain key inputs from subject matter experts (SMEs), architects, dependent teams and identify solution interdependencies. Accordingly, conduct system mapping and data mapping
- Develop detailed user stories, story mapping, stakeholder analysis and acceptance criteria in collaboration with product owner
- Clearly articulate and document business requirements to enable development and QA teams to deliver the required business & tech functions
- Act as a liaison between business user and technical teams, translating business needs into technical specifications
- Create and maintain documentation regarding all aspects of the product, including product operations, compliance, product launch processes,



and system functionality
- Participate in design review and walk-through
- Support testing teams/activities: test plan/case consultation and manage defect triage with appropriate application teams
- Provide support during system implementation, including user training and post-implementation activities
- Stay up to date on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies

Must Have Experience

- Proven experience as a Regulatory Business Analyst within the financial services industry, with direct involvement in interpreting and implementing regulatory requirements.
- Strong working knowledge of key global financial regulators, including but not limited to CFTC, SEC, ESMA, FCA, HKMA, BOI, CSA, and CIRO.
- Hands-on experience implementing and ensuring compliance with major regulatory frameworks such as MIFID, EMIR, CFTC, SEC, SFTR, MTRS, and AMF/OSC.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex regulatory mandates into actionable business and system requirements, ensuring rigorous attention to compliance and operational accuracy.
- Strong experience working across systems delivery frameworks, including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies.
- Expertise in creating detailed business documentation, including business requirement documents (BRDs), user stories, process models, data/system mappings, and functional specifications.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with business stakeholders, SMEs, product owners, and technical teams to define and deliver regulatory change initiatives.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to business analysis, with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and auditability.
- Experience supporting UAT, managing defect triage, and collaborating during design and system implementation phases.
- Strong communication and documentation skills to support stakeholder engagement, training, and regulatory audits or inquiries.
