You’ll lead implementations, improve processes, mentor junior analysts, and partner across teams to keep underwriting operations running smarter, faster, and cleaner across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

- Lead assigned underwriting operations projects through to implementation
- Test and validate complex underwriting rules, product updates, and pricing changes
- Drive process improvements and system efficiencies across underwriting workflows




- Act as a subject matter expert for underwriting systems and underwriting business logic
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and oversight to junior analysts
- Liaise between business and technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues across multiple platforms
- Work across tools such as Guidewire centers, broker management systems, and third-party quoting solutions
- Develop and deliver training content for underwriting systems
- Collaborate with leadership on strategy, reporting, and implementation planning
- Support regulatory reporting preparation and completion as required
- Take on additional operational duties as needed

Qualifications

Required

- 5+ years of underwriting experience
- Strong understanding of underwriting principles, products, and pricing
- Technical aptitude with experience working in insurance systems (Guidewire or similar)
- Experience improving workflows, driving efficiencies, and partnering cross-functionally
- Ability to mentor and support junior analysts
- Relevant post-secondary education
- Personal Property and Farm experience preferred
- Guidewire experience
