We’re working with a creative agency seeking an experienced Proofreader to support a fast-paced team on a short-term contract. This role will focus on proofreading copy and reviewing layouts across a variety of creative deliverables.
Candidates must be based in Canada and available to work regular business hours from 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Key Highlights
- Location: Remote within Canada
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Pay: 40-50 CAD/hr
- Start Date: As soon as Possible
- Duration: Through the end of August, with the possibility of extending through mid-September
What You’ll Do
- Proofread copy for spelling, grammar, punctuation, consistency, and accuracy
- Review creative layouts to ensure copy is correctly placed and formatted
- Identify errors and inconsistencies before materials are finalized
- Manage reviews and feedback through digital workflow and proofing tools
- Collaborate with agency teams to keep projects moving accurately and efficiently
Qualifications
- Previous proofreading experience within a Canadian advertising, marketing, or creative agency
- Experience reviewing both copy and creative layouts
- Comfortable working with digital proofing and workflow tools; Workfront and Verify experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven setting
- Availability to work regular 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. hours
- Canadian French language skills are a plus but not required
- Healthcare or medical proofreading experience is a plus but not required
