Be a key player as a Commodity Accountant with Parrish & Heimbecker in Winnipeg, MB. This full-time role focuses on month-end analyses and P&L; reporting for the Grain division.

As a Commodity Accountant, you will ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and analysis within the Grain & Crop Inputs Division. This position involves critical monthly profitability assessment for both CAD and USD commodities, communicating results to grain traders, and identifying variances. Your contributions will support effective decision-making and operational success.

Key Responsibilities:



• Perform month-end profit and loss analysis for commodities • Communicate timely P&L; results to grain traders • Analyze expenses and freight execution costs for trends • Complete monthly accounting reconciliations with accuracy • Prepare manual journal entries and financial reports

Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance • CPA designation or enrollment in CPA program (asset) • Experience in commodity or grain accounting (asset) • Knowledge of hedging and future markets • Robust analytical and Excel skills
