Join School District No. 91 in Fraser Lake as a Casual Indigenous Education Advocate. Provide crucial support to Indigenous students through cultural and academic guidance while promoting pride.
In this casual role, you will focus on nurturing Indigenous students by offering social-emotional, cultural, and academic assistance. Working closely with teachers, you’ll ensure students' specific needs are addressed. Effective communication with families is essential, along with proactive advocacy for student success in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer cultural and emotional support to Indigenous students
• Serve as a positive role model for Indigenous pride
• Partner with teachers to address academic needs




• Engage families to enhance student success
• Submit administrative reports to the education department
Requirements:
• Completed Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)
• Minimum two years of relevant Indigenous studies
• At least 6 months of experience with Indigenous students
• Knowledge of local Indigenous communities
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License
