Duties and Responsibilities
- Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting AV equipment such as projectors, microphones, control systems, and video conferencingtools.
- Performing preventative maintenance and routine checks to ensure AV systems are functioning optimally.
- Providing first-level support and training to faculty and staff on AV systems and hybrid learning technologies.
- Assisting with, and running AV setups for campus events and transporting equipment between locations.
- Collaborating with IT and facilities teams on AV upgrades and renovations.
Requirements
- Two-year College Diploma in Audio-Visual Technology, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, Broadcast Technology, MediaProduction or related field.
- One to two years of experience in AV equipment setup and troubleshooting,
preferably in an educational or corporate setting. Anequivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Familiarity with AV control systems (Crestron/Extron), video conferencing platforms (Zoom, MS Teams), and AV-over-IP technologies.
- Valid G-Class Driver’s License.
- Working at Heights certification.
- CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification preferred or to be obtained within the first year.
