Extendicare is looking for a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Care, you will be responsible for comprehensive resident assessments, implementing care plans, and evaluating their effectiveness. A strong foundation in critical thinking and care coordination will be essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver planned, goal-directed nursing care
• Conduct and communicate resident assessments accurately
• Coordinate care conferences and encourage family participation
• Manage medications and ensure compliance with regulations
• Direct and teach unregulated care providers
Requirements:
• Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Preferred experience in senior care environments
• Robust time management and customer service skills
• Current certification in Basic Life Support and First Aid
• Willingness to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check
