Job Summary This role provides client support and coordinates the provisioning, deployment, and management of technology assets for faculty and staff. Responsibilities include asset lifecycle management, annual hardware and software refreshes, responding to service requests, maintaining asset records and reports, and supporting the ERP Systems and Reporting team’s operational priorities. The role requires effective coordination, attention to detail, and timely follow-through on time-sensitive activities.
Nature of work This position reports to the Manager, ERP Systems and Reporting within IT Services.
Responsibilities/accountabilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for faculty and staff technology requests, providing timely and professional customer service
Coordinate the provisioning, deployment, refresh, rental, and disposal of technology assets
Maintain accurate asset inventories, records, and reporting to support operational requirements
Plan and coordinate annual hardware and software refresh initiatives across academic and administrative areas
Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking tools, status reports, and stakeholder communications
Collaborate with IT teams, service partners, and departmental contacts to deliver technology programs and services effectively
Coordinate faculty and administrative technology asset programs,
including quota and fleet asset management activities
Support the ERP Systems and Reporting team through coordination, documentation, reporting, and other operational priorities as assigned
Required Skills
Solid knowledge of customer service, business operations, and project coordination principles
Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and reporting skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate activities across diverse stakeholders, and deliver results in a time-sensitive environment with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Required Education
3 year diploma/degree in Business Administration or similar
An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered
* Verification of Academic credentials may be required
Required Experience
3+ years experience in customer-service or relevant related field
This position falls within the bargaining unit represented by the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) and will be subject to the terms and conditions of the collective agreement between the university and the OPSEU.
