About the Role

The Company is seeking an Associate Dean for the Edna Edwards School of Nursing. The successful candidate will be a senior academic leader, working in collaboration with the Dean to provide strategic and operational leadership across the School of Nursing. This role involves ensuring the delivery of high-quality, relevant, and innovative health education, supporting program excellence, and leading strategic initiatives. The Associate Dean will also be responsible for fostering strong relationships with regional, provincial, and national businesses, professional communities, and educational institutions to meet the training needs of the school.

Applicants must be qualified nurses with a related degree, holding a current active license and in good standing with the applicable regulatory body.



The role requires a candidate with a Master's degree, who can demonstrate ethical leadership, strategic thinking, operational excellence, and a commitment to collaboration, innovation, and inclusion. The Associate Dean will be involved in the planning and development of academic programs, supervising staff, and ensuring the teaching and learning setting is culturally appropriate and inclusive. The position also involves budgetary responsibilities, and the ability to handle challenging situations, and to establish and maintain effective working relationships. The ideal candidate will have outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, and the ability to lead by example, demonstrating leadership and teamwork abilities.
