Make a difference as a Relief Residential Client Advocate at Inasmuch House, part of Mission Services. Your client-centered approach will support women and dependents facing abuse or homelessness.
This position at Inasmuch House requires flexible availability to provide direct service to women-identified individuals and their dependents. You'll assess risks, maintain shelter safety, and collaborate with community partners to facilitate support. Experience in gender-based violence and trauma-informed practices is essential for this rewarding role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist women-identified individuals with risk assessments and safety planning • Ensure safety and security within the shelter environment • Develop personalized safety plans adapting to users' needs • Collaborate with child welfare agencies for reported concerns • Maintain detailed records using case management software
Requirements: • Diploma in Social Service Work, degree preferred • Minimum one year related experience • Understanding of gender-based violence and intersectional feminist lens • Excellent crisis intervention and counselling skills • Flexibility for various shifts, including nights and weekends
