Interim Director of Wellness (RPN) 6-month Contract

Our client needs a competent RPN who is ready to gain experience as an interim Director of Wellness for a 6-month contract at a care-focused retirement residence in Mississauga. Your experience as a shift nurse, floor nurse, or a team lead, will be an asset for this role. You will have the opportunity to gain management experience while working with a team-oriented team supported by a dedicated Executive Director.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage clinical teams for outstanding care delivery
- Update and monitor residents' care plans
- Lead infection prevention and control initiatives
- Manage admissions & discharges
- Maintain compliance
- Must have experience working in a retirement residence or long term care home
- Must have leadership capabilities to support the RPNs and PSWs on the team

This will be a primarily administrative role from M-F, 9-5 with some flexibility.

Requirements

- Nursing program graduate; registered with CNO as an RPN or RN
- 1+ years' experience in leadership
- Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance is necessary
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to organize and track metrics effectively
