As a Traffic Control Technician at Aecon, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring safety during the construction season. Your responsibilities will include implementing lane closures, managing traffic flow, and ensuring compliance with established safety protocols. You will work closely with other contractors while using equipment like traffic cones and digital message boards to secure work areas effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement safe lane closures and detours
• Operate company vehicles, including flat deck trucks
• Complete daily traffic inspections
• Direct vehicles and pedestrians safely
• Collaborate with crews to maintain traffic safety
Requirements:
• 1+ year of traffic control set-up experience
• A valid Class 5 Non-GDL driver’s license
• Physically capable of working outdoors
• Clean driver’s abstract required
• ACSA TCP Ticket preferred
