Johnstone & Johnstone LLP is a boutique Labour and Employment Law firm located in London, Ontario and is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Legal Assistant.
This role involves supporting the daily operations of the firm, assisting lawyers with administrative and legal tasks, and contributing to overall office efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, qualified demeanor, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Provide general administrative and clerical support
Answer a multi-line phone system professionally and direct calls appropriately
Coordinate meetings, conferences, and appointments, including logistics and correspondence
Maintain calendars, track deadlines, and monitor timelines
Manage legal documentation with strict confidentiality
Assist with preparation of legal documents and correspondence
Essential Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of relevant legal assistant experience
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with legal accounting or practice management software
Exceptional attention to detail
Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
Skilled, responsive, and positive work attitude
