Medical Office Assistant

Duties:
Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
Schedule appointments and manage the physician schedule
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a qualified manner
Collect patient information and update electronic medical records
Verify insurance coverage and process billing information
Assist physicians with minor procedure, assess patients and vital signs taking
Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
Supply inventory
May be asked to work in our SW location when coverage is needed

Requirements:
Previous experience working in a medical office or similar administrative role preferred
Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of electronic medical records systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively




Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
Experience in using Telus CHR is a plus
