Duties
Greet patients warmly and assess their optical needs with enthusiasm and professionalism
Measure and verify prescriptions accurately using specialized tools and techniques
Assist patients in selecting frames that suit their style, face shape, and lifestyle preferences
Conduct laboratory procedures such as lens edging, mounting, and quality checks to ensure optimal fit and clarity
Educate patients on proper eyewear care, lens options, and maintenance to promote long-term satisfaction
Process sales transactions efficiently while providing excellent retail sales support
Maintain detailed records of patient prescriptions, lab work,
and sales using electronic health record systems like Epic
Collaborate with optometrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Licensed Optician with current certification
Solid knowledge of medical terminology related to eye health and optical services
Hands-on laboratory experience with lens fabrication, edging, and mounting techniques
Proven optical experience in a retail or clinical setting with a focus on customer service
Familiarity with retail sales strategies and sales techniques to meet or exceed targets
Experience using electronic health record systems such as Epic for documentation and scheduling
Background in retail management or supervisory roles is a plus but not required
