PEO Canada is searching for a motivated and qualified Accounting Assistant. The successful applicant will join the accounting team at our head office located in downtown Calgary. This is an in-office position. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Accounting Assistant's objective is to maintain the organization’s PEO Government Remittances and reconciliations of accounts as directed.
Range of responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Processing remittances for the Receiver General, Revenue Quebec, Ontario EHT, WCB’s, Perks and other third parties on weekly, monthly and quarterly schedules.
Processing corporate tax installments and other payment requests as directed by the Controller.
Processing GST/QST returns and remittances.
Processing bank entries, purchase invoices/credit memos and journal entries as applicable.
Reconciliation of liability, COS, Revenues,
AR accounts on a regular schedule or requested by the Controller
Cheque inquiries.
Supporting to process PEO or DSS payrolls, debiting and reconciliations as directed by the Controller.
All other assigned duties.
Required Skills:
2 years minimum experience in an accounting role.
Payroll experience would be considered an asset.
Accounting Diploma or Degree is preferred.
Proficient in financing systems, banking systems and excel.
