Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment and machinery used in industrial environments. Your expertise will ensure optimal equipment performance, safety, and reliability across our operations. This position offers an exciting chance to apply your mechanical and electrical knowledge in a fast-paced, safety-conscious setting where continuous improvement is valued.
Responsibilities
Perform detailed inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, industrial machinery, and equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
Utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Low Voltage electrical systems to diagnose operational issues and implement solutions.
Operate welding tools, perform boiler maintenance, and assist with HVAC systems to support facility infrastructure.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams to facilitate repairs.
Collaborate with team members to analyze mechanical problems, develop solutions, and improve maintenance procedures.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic or Industrial Maintenance Technician with robust mechanical knowledge.
Hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), electrical systems, schematics, and low voltage wiring.
Knowledge of industrial electrician practices, HVAC systems, welding techniques, boiler operation, and general mechanical troubleshooting.
Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and maintenance tracking.
Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and electrical diagrams accurately.
Strong analysis skills combined with excellent customer service orientation to effectively communicate technical issues.
Fluency in English is required for explicit communication within the team and documentation purposes.
