Lansdowne Animal Hospital is looking for another part-time Veterinary Receptionist/ Assistant (will become full-time for the right person) to add to our team of professionals. LAH is a privately owned well established small animal hospital operating in Richmond for the last 28 years. We are looking for a candidate with strong work ethic and excellent communication skills. Candidates with Veterinary assistant diploma and any veterinary experience will be preferred. We offer employee discounts on pet food and medical services. Duties:
-answer phones and customer service
Assist veterinarians in providing care and treatment to animals
Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
Prepare and maintain examination rooms and surgical areas
Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments
Provide post-operative care and monitor patients during recovery
Experience:
Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital is preferred
