Job Description
A Manual Cylindrical Grinder is responsible for ensuring the part is worked on safely, efficiently and in accordance with Hi-Tech's standards including material, paperwork, outsourcing results, inspections, awareness of part planning and awareness of grinding dynamics. All machinists are expected to posture their development within the framework of Hi-Tech's core values.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Grind high quality components
Responsible for precision grinding (Cylindrical ID,OD)
Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications
Inspects work visually and with appropriate measuring instruments
Performs applicable tool repair and maintenance notifies Supervisor of required replacement stock
Ensures documentation and records are accurately maintained
Uses computer to accurately enter all Company required information (ex clocking in/out)
Participates in continual improvement through innovation and initiatives to improve safety, productivity, profitability and efficiency
Follows all policies and procedures as detailed in-process documents, immediately brings to the attention of Supervisor any discrepancies or opportunities for improvement
Maintains a clean and organized work area at all times
Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 5 years of Cylindrical Grinding experience
Experience with lathe, mill and centerless grinding is an asset
Job Types: Full time, Permanent
Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
