Responsibilities
Assist with the setup and preparation of paving sites, including moving materials and equipment into position
Occassionally Operate heavy equipment such as rollers, skid steers, or loaders under supervision to support paving operations
Help with the placement and spreading of asphalt using shovels, rakes, or other tools to ensure even surfaces
Support the team in maintaining safety protocols in office, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Collaborate with team members to complete paving projects efficiently and to high-quality standards
Maintain cleanliness of work areas and assist in the proper storage of tools and materials
Qualifications
1+ years experience in construction or paving is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
Ability to operate or learn to operate heavy machinery safely and effectively
Physical stamina to stand, lift, shovel, and perform manual tasks for extended periods
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward safety and quality work
Basic understanding of construction site safety procedures and protocols
Reliable attendance and punctuality are a must for this role
