Heavy-Duty Field Mechanic – Journeyman or Apprentice
Location: Edmonton & Acheson, Alberta

Raywalt Construction is a well-established sewer and water contractor based in Edmonton. We are currently seeking an energetic and experienced Heavy-Duty Field Mechanic (Journeyman or Apprentice) to join our team.
Position Overview:
This is a full-time position that transitions seasonally:
Summer: Field-based work within the Edmonton area
Winter: Shop-based repairs and servicing at our facility in Acheson Industrial Park
A service truck will be provided for fieldwork. Applicants must supply their own tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment in the field and shop
Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
Work independently and efficiently in both shop and field settings
Complete job-related documentation accurately and timely
Our Fleet Includes:
Caterpillar, John Deere, and Komatsu
Excavators, dozers, loaders, track loaders, and packers
Qualifications:
Journeyman or Apprentice Heavy-Duty Off-Road Technician (required)
Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract (required)
Proven experience as a field mechanic on heavy equipment
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Safety-conscious and able to work independently
Job Type: Full time
Schedule:
Day shift: Monday to Friday
10–12-hour shifts
Overtime and weekends as needed
