Duties
Responsible for the safe and effective operation of building heating system, pool mechanical, air handling equipment, and refrigeration plant;
Responsible for ice maintenance, ice resurfacing;
Responsible for pool water treatment and filtration systems maintenance;
Take regular meter readings on designated equipment;
Responsible for the condition and possible repairs of all fixed installations (i.e. lights, doors, toilets, showers, arena fixtures, etc.);
General labour work including but not limited to: setup and tear down of daily functions, snow removal, etc.
Other duties or responsibilities may be assigned and added at managements discretion;

Qualifications
Second Class Refrigeration ticket or 4th Class Power Engineer ticket;
Excellent customer service skills;
Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation;
Must possess or be willing to obtain: WHMIS and fall arrest;




Previous building maintenance experience is considered an asset;
Previous experience with pools, rinks, and air handling units is considered an asset;
Ability to work independently or as part of a team;
Detail oriented with an ability to multi-task;
Willingness to do what it takes to get the job done;

Compensation
As per NSUPE Local 22 Collective Agreement.
