We are seeking a skilled Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will understand Plastic Extrusion manufacturing and be responsible for ensuring production meets quality and efficiency standards while maintaining a secure work environment. In addition to filling out regular reports, training employees in proper Extrusion processes, and maintaining quality in production, the Production Manager will be a team player who controls the floor.
Responsibilities
· Manage and coordinate production activities
· Develop and implement production schedules
· Fill in reports and track KPIs
· Monitor production processes to ensure they are productive and cost-effective
· Train, supervise, and evaluate production staff
· Implement measures to ensure product quality meets standards
· Ensure safe work practices are followed
· Collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes
· Available to fill in for other tasks were required
Qualifications:
· Experience in Plastic Extrusion (>5 Years preferred)
· Experience in a Production Manager role (>2 years preferred)
· Proficiency in setting up and monitoring Extruders
· Forklift license would be an asset
· Strong understanding of basic math and lean manufacturing principles
· Ability to fabricate and conduct quality inspections using tools like calipers
· Experience in warehouse management and inventory control
· Knowledge of quality inspection procedures and techniques
