Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. This role requires a love for animals, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. There is ample opportunity for advancement within our hospital. Come grow with us!

Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas by performing regular cleaning tasks such as washing bedding, disinfecting surfaces, and removing waste.
Ensure that all animals are handled in a secure manner, using fear free techniques where possible.
Provide daily care for dogs and cats, including feeding, walking, and grooming as needed.
Follow all safety protocols to maintain a protected environment for both pets and staff.

Skills
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling large breeds or moving supplies.




Experience working with animals is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness and animal care.
Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated during independent tasks.

The candidate will need to be flexible and open with their availability as the shifts will fall during days (until 8pm), late nights (until 2am) and some weekends. The shifts are generally 12 hours in length.
