Position: Yard Associate/Forklift
Location: Surrey, BC
Company: I-XL Building Products (Canada’s leading distributor of architectural masonry)
Hours: Mon–Fri, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (No weekends, closed statutory holidays)
Compensation: From $22.00/ hour, based on experience, + perks (after 3 months)
This is not just a forklift position, you will be working in a physically demanding environment, building pallets and involved in heavy lifting on a daily basis. As we continue to add to our busy team, the ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and strong customer service skills. You are comfortable working outdoors, a team player and have at least 3 years forklift operator experience, preferably within a similar environment.
Key Responsibilities
Handle yard and warehouse operations: loading/unloading, staging, and inventory management.
Maintain accurate paperwork and communicate via radio.
Inspect and maintain forklifts; ensure safe operation.
Keep yard/warehouse clean and organized; assist with snow removal.
Work safely and report hazards.
Qualifications
3+ years forklift experience in a similar environment is preferred.
Valid forklift license (or ability to obtain).
Comfortable working outdoors and lifting 50 lbs regularly.
Robust customer service skills and positive attitude.
Knowledge of shipping/receiving is an asset.
Valid driver’s license; full background check required.
