Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Arborist to join our team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing the health and safety of trees and landscapes. This role offers an prospect to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, applying horticultural expertise and technical skills to ensure the vitality and safety of urban and suburban green spaces. The ideal candidate will have a passion for arboriculture, strong safety awareness, and experience working with various tree care equipment.
Duties
Perform tree pruning, removal, and planting activities with precision and safety.
Utilize rigging techniques to safely lower large branches or trees during removal or maintenance.
Operate bucket trucks and bucket operation equipment to access high branches safely.
Conduct landscape maintenance tasks, including mulching, fertilizing, and pest management.
Use GIS tools for mapping and assessing tree inventories and landscape planning.
Assist with general horticultural practices to promote healthy growth of trees and plants.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations.
Maintain equipment and tools in good working order through proper care and inspection.
Requirements
Proven experience in arboriculture,
landscape maintenance, or related horticultural fields.
Knowledge of rigging techniques, bucket truck operation, and bucket operation safety procedures.
Familiarity with GIS technology for landscape planning or tree inventory management is preferred.
Strong understanding of horticulture principles related to tree health and landscape aesthetics.
Ability to operate heavy machinery such as bucket trucks safely and effectively.
Excellent physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus.
